Every year brings its share of surprises, and we always eagerly await the arrival of new products. In 2022, Excalibur fans have plenty to look forward to, with three new recurve crossbows announced by the brand! “Different for a reason” is Excalibur Crossbow’s slogan, and it makes perfect sense the first time you try one of its crossbows! Simple yet incredibly effective, every model from the brand is an example of reliability and performance. Let’s see what Excalibur has to offer in 2022.
Excalibur Micro 380 Crossbow
A legendary crossbow makes a comeback! The Matrix 380 first came out 10 years ago, and its arrival on the market made a real splash. Narrower than the brand’s other traditional crossbows, it also fired bolts at 380 fps—a speed unheard of for a recurve crossbow at the time. The Matrix 380 went on to become a real success in the traditional crossbow market. In 2022, the 380 returns, this time in the Micro lineup!
This new Micro 380 crossbow will be the first in the Micro lineup to feature Cease-Fire technology. This anti-dry-fire system works even if the safety is off and you pull the trigger. Originally designed for hunting, this lightweight, compact crossbow comes with a TACT-100 scope adjustable for speeds from 300 to 450 fps.
Excalibur TwinStrike TAC2 Crossbow
One of the standout releases of 2021 was the TwinStrike Excalibur crossbow. Its DualFire technology let you fire a second bolt within a second of the first. Ideal if your first shot missed the target, this crossbow also offers excellent accuracy.
In 2022, Excalibur revisits this model with the TwinStrike TAC2 crossbow. The first big change is its all-black look. It has been a long time since the brand offered a black crossbow. Still equipped with DualFire technology, the TAC2 is more compact and lighter than its predecessor. In terms of performance, its speed drops from 360 fps to 340 fps, but it will be more affordable. The package will include a silent crank cocking system, making it easy to cock and uncock your TwinStrike TAC2.
Excalibur Mag Air Crossbow
Buying an Excalibur crossbow can sometimes be a major investment. For some, the price is a small consideration compared with the performance and reliability of the brand’s models. With the entry-level Excalibur Mag Air crossbow, Excalibur Crossbow has considered every budget.
Perhaps the most anticipated model of 2022, the Mag Air crossbow is the lightest Excalibur model on the market, weighing 2.22 kg without accessories. Its lightweight, open Gen2 frame gives the Mag Air its compact, lightweight design. Like the TwinStrike TAC2, the Mag Air will only be available in black. Despite its attractive price, the Mag Air crossbow will come well equipped. In terms of performance, it will fire bolts at 305 fps with the precision Excalibur is known for.
That’s what Excalibur has in store for us in 2022: enjoyment, precision, top-notch finishes and, as always, a lifetime warranty on every model.
