The Ravin crossbow press is a practical and effective accessory for compressing your crossbows. Available in black, it is made of aluminum for long-lasting use. The press can be operated with a hand tool or a ½-inch (1.27 cm) tool. It accommodates crossbows up to 56 cm wide when the cables and string are removed. This makes it an ideal choice for Ravin crossbows, though it can also be used with other brands. Please note, however, that using this press with other brands may affect the crossbow's warranty. Weighing only 2.71 kg, it is also lightweight and easy to transport for use on the go.
The Ravin crossbow press works simply. Position the crossbow between the jaws, leaving the cams free to turn, and tighten it using the handle. As you tighten, the jaws compress the crossbow, relieving tension on the string and cables. Make a note of how everything is assembled so you can put it back together correctly. Avoid overtightening the crossbow; once the string or cables lift out of their grooves, you've tightened it enough.
