The operating principle of the Ravin crossbow press is simple. You position the crossbow between the jaws (leaving the pulleys free to rotate) and tighten using the handle. The clamps will press the crossbow as you tighten, thus relaxing the string and cables. Be sure to note the assembly to be able to reassemble everything correctly. Avoid over-tightening the crossbow; once the string or cables come out of their housing, it's sufficient.
