Compact and sturdy, this ManKung 80 lb pistol crossbow has an aluminum body and metal grip, while its limbs are made of fiberglass. This combination of materials gives it considerable strength for its small size while keeping its weight down to 665 grams. With an 80 lb draw weight, it launches bolts at 48.6 m/s, or about 175 km/h, and has an effective target range of up to 20 meters—making it a practical choice for recreational shooting.
To cock the crossbow, pull the hooks back until the string automatically engages in the trigger mechanism. Before each shot, you must push the metal pull tab forward: skipping this step could cause the string to fling the tab and damage the crossbow. The safety is released with your thumb, and the 16.5 cm aluminum bolts must be placed on the rail with their vanes lying flat. Using a stringing aid is strongly recommended to make fitting and removing the string easier.
The included sight is a standard rear sight, but the built-in 11 mm rail lets you fit a red dot for more accurate aiming with the pistol crossbow. The crossbow comes with three bolts; additional arrows suitable for this model are available separately. Avoid aiming at targets so thin that the bolts could pass straight through them.
