A crossbow string is subject to wear. Wax it every 5 to 10 shots to reduce friction and heat buildup. Over time, it wears down and may break, so it’s essential to replace it before it fails.

WARNING: The limbs, not the string, determine the crossbow’s draw weight. This string is recommended for 180 lb limbs. It is also compatible with 90, 110, and 130 lb Cobra limbs.
